Finals week has been a hectic, studious experience so far. Tuesday was reserved as a study day, and it was a very useful, necessary break from classes. Finals started on Wednesday, and have been going ever since. I have one more final left tomorrow, and then I am done with my first semester at USD. Wow, it sure has gone by fast. While I'm excited to go home, I'm not entirely ready to say bye to all of the friends I've made here. The community at USD has made the transition into college especially enjoyable for me, and the sheer friendliness of students and faculty here is awesome to be around. I certainly will miss my new friends over break. Happy holidays to all!

'Tis the Season
With finals coming up this week, things have been very busy around USD. Of late, the library has been a frequent spot for me and my friends. While the stress typically mounts at this time of the year, it hasn’t been too bad to cope with. The two gyms on campus have great hours, so I find myself going there after my classes to blow off some steam. Campus Recreation is offering free fitness classes during finals week so I’ll be sure to go to some of those too. I should also add that the weather is particularly relaxing. It was 5 degrees and snowing at home, but it was 72 and sunny in San Diego today! The beautiful weather didn’t stop USD from having a winter wonderland on Thursday. Snow and an ice rink were brought in, and even Santa paid a visit. Holiday spirit filled the air, and everybody had a great time. I can’t believe that my first semester at USD is coming to a close. It has been the fastest, most fun filled semester in my life, and it has me extremely excited for the years ahead.
